DPC for Eastern Europe Starts this Week

The American company Beyond the Summit has announced that they will organize this season’s second tour of Dota Pro Circuit for Eastern Europe. The league will start tomorrow, April 27th and feature a shorter, quicker format to conclude on May 2nd.

The line-up consists of eight teams: Team Spirit, PuckChamp, Outsiders, HellRaisers, Natus Vincere, Mind Games, CIS Rejects and BB Team. They will compete in a double-elimination bracket, where two best teams will qualify for the major. The teams placed 3rd – 6th will compete for the final invite to the major in a single-elimination bracket.

Initially the event was supposed to take place alongside other regions, from March 17th to April 22nd and organized by a Russian company Epic Esports Events. Later VALVE indefinitely postponed the league in the region after the recent Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The other regional DPC-events have concluded last week, thus the major’s line-up is almost completed:

  • Western Europe: OG, Gaimin Gladiators, Team Liquid, Tundra Esports
  • China: PSG.LGD, Team Aster, Xtreme Gaming, Royal Never Give Up
  • Southeast Asia: Fnatic, BOOM Esports, T1
  • North America: Evil Geniuses, TSM
  • South America: Thunder Awaken, beastcoast

ESL One Stockholm 2022 is scheduled for May 12th – 22nd and will take place at Hoven Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. The tournament’s prize pool is set at $500,000.
