DPC Western Europe: Entity Retain their Place in the First Division

Entity, earlier known as Creepwave, have secured their place in the first division of Dota Pro Circuit in Western Europe. Both them and Brame finished the regular matches with a 2-5 score. However, Entity defeated Brame with a 2-0 score in the sixth place tiebreaker. Thus, Brame were relegated to the second division.

The regular season concluded on April 20th. The best four teams of the region – OG, Gaimin Gladiators, Team Liquid and Tundra Esports – have qualified for the Stockholm Major. Two teams that performed the worst – Brame and Nigma Galaxy – have lost their places in the first division and in the next season will be replaced by goonsquad and Alliance, the winners of the second division.

ESL One Stockholm 2022 will be played in the Sweden’s capital on May 12th – 22nd. The event will feature a $500,000 prize pool and have an 18-teams line-up. Besides the Western European teams, currently the list of participants also includes PSG.LGD from China, BOOM Esports with Fnatic from Southeast Asia, and Thunder Awaken from South America. Most of the regional competitions conclude already this week, with Eastern Europe being the only exception – there the league was indefinitely postponed due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It remains unknown whether the teams from the region will be represented on the major or replaced by teams from other regions.
