NAVI to play Cloud9 and G2 to play BIG in Group A of the IEM Katowice 2023

The organizers of the IEM Katowice 2023 have announced the first matches of the group stage of the tournament.

In Group A, Natus Vincere faces Cloud9 and G2 Esports takes on BIG. Team Liquid and FaZe Clan's opponents have not yet been announced. This will be revealed after the conclusion of the play-in games on February 3rd.

We also know the first 2 matches in Group B: OG will play MOUZ and Team Vitality will face Ninjas in Pyjamas. The results of the matches on February 3rd will determine the opponents of Heroic and Outsiders.

All group stage matches will be best-of-3. The group winners will advance to the semifinals, the 2nd and 3rd placed teams will advance to the playoffs starting with the quarterfinals, with the runner-up teams getting better seeding.

The group stage of the IEM Katowice 2023 will take place from February 4-7, with the playoffs scheduled for February 10-12. The up-to-date schedule of the tournament is available here.
