Sharks Defeat Imperial to Qualify for BLAST Spring Showdown

Shark Esports have become the first team to make it through a regional qualifying event for BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2022. In the grand finals of the South American event FiReLEAGUE Latin Power Spring 2022 they outplayed Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo’s team Imperial Esports with a 2-1 score.

Sharks managed to win the event with losing only a single map. First, they showed the best results in Group B after defeating Los Grandes (16:14) and Imperial (16:11). Then in the semifinals they outplayed 9z Team (2-0). In the grand finals they lost the first map, Inferno, with a 10:16 score, but later managed to bounce back at Dust II (19:15) and win Mirage (16:14).

Now Sharks will compete in the Spring Showdown, which is scheduled for April 27th – May 1st. The event features a $135,000 prize pool and offers two spots in the league’s seasonal finale. Earlier the tournament’s organizers invited FURIA, GODSENT and Heroic.
